Ik ben Han Altena, muziekproducer, stem op je tv of radio, softwarespecialist. Van buitenaf lijkt het soms alsof er meerdere carrières over elkaar heen liggen: studio producent, voice-overs, fotografie, Apple-development, maatwerk AI. Dat zijn geen losse bijbaantjes.

Het is dezelfde passie, alleen in verschillende ruimtes.

Ik groeide op met instrumenten in mijn handen en radio in mijn oren. Jarenlang draaien in clubs en op festivals, radioprogramma’s maken, stemmen inspreken voor onder andere RTL en Videoland. In de studio schrijf, produceer en mix ik elk nummer zelf, van het eerste idee tot de laatste master. De stijl ligt ergens tussen 90s hiphop, moderne soul en funk, met een cinematische rand.

De technische kant is niet zo gek. Ik ging van mobiel netwerk ontwerp bij Vodafone, (mijn oorspronkelijke studie vak), uiteindelijk naar technical software engineer bij Apple, terwijl ik mijn eigen studio runde. Precies daarom geef ik evenveel om computertechniek, gadgets, en fotografie, als om muziek. Alles moet perfect gebouwd zijn, goed klinken en gewoon doen wat het moet doen.

Creative media (vanuit mijn nevenstudie aan het Grafisch Lyceum in Utrecht) is eigenlijk diezelfde passie in beeld en beweging! Vormgeving, video, fotografie, ontwerpen en tekenen. Als stemacteur, vanuit radiowerk ontstaan, gaat het om timing, toon en een resultaat dat meteen de juiste snaar raakt.

Het bouwen van eigen Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) voor zakelijke toepassingen is ontstaan door mijn werk als developer voor Apple, en uit de hand gelopen hobbymatige interesses. Mijn project Anna AI OS is inmiddels een operating systeem, met eigen autonome agents, waarmee ik automatisering en tools kan bieden die ontzorgen, vereenvoudigen, en frictie wegnemen binnen je onderneming, in plaats van nóg een chatbot waar niemand om vroeg.

Wat het bij elkaar houdt is simpel: ik hou van dingen die af zijn en al mijn disciplines vormen samen een totaalproduct. Een muziekproductie dat van de eerste tot de laatste beat blijft staan. Een stem voor je commercial of bedrijfsvideo die een verhaal draagt. Een beeldmerk of productie dat niet half af voelt. Een systeem dat zijn werk doet zonder dat je er constant naast zit. Kwaliteit is de filter. Cafeïne is de brandstof.

I’m Han Altena, music producer, the voice on your TV or radio, software specialist. From the outside it can look like several careers stacked on top of each other: studio producer, voice-overs, photography, Apple development, custom AI. These are not loose side jobs. It is the same passion, just in different rooms.

I grew up with instruments in my hands and radio in my ears. Years of playing clubs and festivals, making radio shows, voicing spots for RTL and Videoland among others. In the studio I write, produce and mix every track myself, from the first idea to the final master. The style sits somewhere between 90s hip hop, modern soul and funk, with a cinematic edge.

The technical side is not that strange. I went from mobile network design at Vodafone (my original field of study) to technical software engineer at Apple, while running my own studio. That is exactly why I care as much about computer technology, gadgets and photography as I do about music. Everything has to be built properly, sound right and simply do what it is supposed to do.

Creative media (from my additional studies at the Grafisch Lyceum in Utrecht) is really that same passion in image and motion. Design, video, photography, drafting and drawing. As a voice actor, a path that grew out of radio, it is about timing, tone and a result that hits the right note at once.

Building custom Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) for business use came from my work as a developer at Apple, and from hobbies that got out of hand. My project Anna AI OS is now an operating system, with its own autonomous agents, that lets me offer automation and tools that take work off your plate, simplify things and remove friction in your company, instead of yet another chatbot nobody asked for.

What holds it together is simple: I like things that are finished, and all my disciplines add up to one complete product. A music production that holds from the first beat to the last. A voice for your commercial or company video that carries a story. A visual identity or production that does not feel half done. A system that does its job without you sitting next to it the whole time. Quality is the filter. Caffeine is the fuel.
